Calico Farm MB is a small farm located in the RM of Ritchot in southern Manitoba.  We are approximately 25 minutes south of Winnipeg. Our farm name was inspired by the number of multi-colored cats that we own and love.  

OUR GOAL: to breed, train and sell good minded, quality, registered Paints and Quarter Horses.  We strive to breed horses that will put the try into any activity; western pleasure, trail, reining, barrels, team penning, 4H, and anything else a person can do with their horse.

Currently we stand at stud, Going Catting, a 22 year old son of Scotch Bar Time and a grandson of Sugar Bars.   Although this is an older bloodline it is a versatile one.  Fred, as we call him, is calmer than most geldings and has wonderful conformation which is evidenced in the smoothness of his gaits. 

Our brood mare band consists of 2 wonderful mares at this point in time; Page Me In Vagus goes back to Sonny Go Te on her top side and traces back to Sir Quincy Dan and Crimson Page on her bottom side, she is due to foal in mid-May (2012);  Rhemas Mary Pippen a daughter of Mr. Candy Man who also goes back to Triples Titan and Jetalito on her dam's side, is due to foal in mid-May (2012). 

Pine Wave Zip received her first Halter point and was also Halter Reserve at the MQHA Thanksgiving Classic on October 8-10, 2011 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon. 

Peppys Pop Quiz completed his second season in the MTCPA, he has now earned over $300 team penning.  Pop Quiz was also a winner at the CWHA this year; getting Reserve in Junior Trail and Junior Reining.  He was also a money earner with the NRHA. 

Watch for CFM Catwenttovagus and CFM Crimson Cat at the shows in 2012.
